Mona Clayton, MBA, MSN, RN, is a healthcare executive, nonprofit founder, author, and global nursing workforce advocate dedicated to expanding access to healthcare careers and strengthening the future nursing workforce. 


As Founder and Executive Director of The Nurses Pub, she leads workforce development and mentor

Mona Clayton, MBA, MSN, RN, is a healthcare executive, nonprofit founder, author, and global nursing workforce advocate dedicated to expanding access to healthcare careers and strengthening the future nursing workforce. 


As Founder and Executive Director of The Nurses Pub, she leads workforce development and mentorship initiatives that provide students and aspiring healthcare professionals with critical educational resources, career guidance, leadership development, and pathway opportunities into nursing and allied health professions.


In 2018, Mona launched Future 100K Nurses, a global initiative focused on recruiting, mentoring, and providing resources to aspiring nurses across the United States, Africa, Asia, and the Philippines.


 In 2022, she expanded her impact through The Nurses Pub Club, an after-school healthcare career readiness program serving high school students within the Los Angeles Unified School District through academic support, mentorship, and healthcare career exposure.


A respected speaker and thought leader in nursing education and workforce development, Mona is the author of several books supporting nursing students and emerging healthcare professionals, including From Student to Nurse: Surviving the Journey as Painlessly as Possible.


 Her leadership has earned recognition from the Los Angeles County Healthcare System, the University of Phoenix, and the Los Angeles Business Journal. Mona holds degrees in nursing and nursing education, as well as an MBA from Pepperdine University’s Key Executive MBA Program. 


Through strategic leadership, global outreach, and resource-driven programming, she continues to champion innovative solutions that empower future healthcare professionals while sustaining the nursing workforce.

As Secretary of The Nurses Pub, Crystal Dillard Robinson leverages her extensive background in marketing, sales, and leadership to advance the organization's mission of empowering future nurses. 


She is dedicated to enhancing communication, driving strategic growth, and promoting operational excellence to support The Nurses Pub's global initiatives.


With over a decade of experience in the senior living industry as Chief Marketing Officer for Oakmont Management Group, Crystal has been instrumental in elevating the company's marketing vision, positioning Oakmont as a leader in the Seniors Housing industry. 


Her leadership has guided Oakmont's marketing and sales teams to achieve unprecedented results, including the successful lease-up of over 40 new assets. 


Her approach to sales and branding continues to drive growth.

Crystal earned her bachelor's degree in Marketing and General Management from California State University, Sacramento and recently received her MBA from Pepperdine's Executive MBA program. 


She is known for her collaborative leadership style, creative vision, and dedication to making a positive impact in every endeavor.


A proud Alabama Crimson Tide football fan with a love for vacationing in Maui, Crystal also enjoys working with high-performing teams and helping others grow.

KENDRA BELL

 PHN, RN 

Kendra Bell, PHN, RN has over 36 years of compassionate nursing experience in various clinical settings such as neurological intensive care, surgical intensive care, step- down unit,  public health community field services, nursing informatics. 


Kendra  currently operates as the nurse manager for the nursing informatics

Kendra Bell, PHN, RN has over 36 years of compassionate nursing experience in various clinical settings such as neurological intensive care, surgical intensive care, step- down unit,  public health community field services, nursing informatics. 


Kendra  currently operates as the nurse manager for the nursing informatics team and public health nurses for the Los Angeles County Public Health.

Her keen managerial skills, business acumen and strategic planning expertise is the highlight of her career. 


A servant at heart, Kendra is heavily involved in community organizations and has been active as a public speaker, mentor and liaison for The Nurses Pub organization since 2018. 


She also advocates for uplifting student nurses to assist with reaching their goals.

Kendra is heavily versed with working with individuals experiencing homelessness and is aware of the need for community involvement. 


Her professional memberships include the American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau Nursing, American Public Health Association, American Nursing Informatics Association and presently serves as the Vice President for Los Angeles Southwest College Nursing Alumni Committee.


Kendra attended California State University Dominguez Hills earning a Master of Science in Nursing Administration, a Bachelor of Science at California State University, Los Angeles and an Associate of Science in nursing at Los Angeles Southwest College. 


Professionally she has acquired  certifications with the  State of California-Public Health and with George Washington University’s Associate’s Certificate in Business Analysis.

Kendra devotes her spare time for family and friends while enjoying traveling and adventure.

With 20 years of healthcare experience, Jamie Lopez is a passionate and community driven leader dedicated to improving patient care experience and operational excellence across Southern California and Hawaii. 


As the newly appointed Director of Programs for the SoCal American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Inland Empire Programs Counsil, Jamie brings a strong commitment to leadership development, equity, and professional growth.


Jamie currently supports Care Experience initiatives across SoCal and HI markets, building on his background as a Project Manager III and former Vaccine Coordinator. His diverse career at Kaiser Permanente includes roles as Medical Assistant, AfterHours Triage Clerk, Population Management Support Coordinator, and Project Manager III—giving him a comprehensive understanding of the care continuum.


He was part of the team that received Kaiser Permanente’s 2022 Team Excellence Award for leading COVID19 vaccination efforts. Jamie also served as one of San Bernardino County’s Flu Champions, running the Teach Flu a Lesson program, where he partnered with student nurses to vaccinate elementary school students against the flu.


Passionate about education, Jamie completed a dual master’s degree in Health Administration and Business Administration in 2022 and proudly considers himself “a Kaiser success story,” having earned his academic degrees through tuition reimbursement and Ben Hudnall programs.


In his current role supporting Care at Home services, Jamie drives regional projects that strengthen quality, regulatory compliance, and operational performance in home health, hospice, and palliative care services. He reports to Brenda Sillas, MBA, Interim Director, and remains committed to ensuring compassionate, highquality care for members receiving services at home and at the end of life.


Jamie also serves as the Southern California CoLead for the National Latinx Business Resource Group, where he focuses on reducing health disparities in Latino communities using Kaiser Permanente’s pillars of health.

His healthcare journey began as a Medical Assistant at Manuel Mendoza Inc., a small private practice serving the Bellflower community through programs such as CHDP, Family Planning, and OB/GYN services.


 Over the years, Jamie’s leadership has expanded to managing large-scale initiatives that have driven significant operational savings—up to $200 million for the organization.

Dedicated, missiondriven, and fueled by service, Jamie continues to elevate the patient care experience while supporting and inspiring the next generation of healthcare leaders through dedicated advocacy and 

service.

 Toni Usher 

Toni Usher is a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and licensed Phlebotomy Technician dedicated to improving lives through healthcare, advocacy, and community service. 


She is currently advancing her education in the Vocational Nursing (VN) program at Long Beach City College, where she is building on her commitment

Before pursuing nursing, Toni established a strong background in community outreach and behavioral health, working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges and families in need throughout Los Angeles County. 


She collaborated with multiple community organizations, government agencies, and local leaders—including the Office of Mayor Eric Garcetti and Los Angeles County departments focused on housing and community development—to connect vulnerable populations with stable housing, supportive services, and essential resources. 


Through these partnerships, she helped individuals and families overcome barriers while promoting dignity, stability, and hope. Toni’s passion for service extends beyond her professional roles. She is deeply committed to volunteering, mentoring, and giving back to her community through outreach efforts that support underserved populations and inspire future healthcare professionals


. She believes that true leadership is demonstrated through service and strives to make a meaningful difference wherever she is needed. As a member of The Nurse Pub organization, Toni is honored to share her journey and connect with fellow healthcare professionals who are dedicated to excellence, compassion, and advocacy.


 Her mission is to continue serving others, empowering communities, and leaving a positive legacy through healthcare and community engagement.
