Mona Clayton, MSN, RN

An inspirational speaker, author, mentor, and transformational coach for nurses and students, Mona has been featured in Black Enterprise Magazine, Working Nurse Magazine, The Los Angeles Sentinel Newspaper,  Los Angeles Wave Newspaper, Our Weekly Newspaper, Minority Nurse Magazine, The University of Phoenix Buzz, Grand Canyon University Today, and the University of Phoenix Center for Health and Nursing Research Magazine. 

Mona Clayton, MSN, RN, is the 

CEO and Founder of  The Nurses Pub Organization and author of From Student to Nurse—Surviving the Journey as Painlessly as Possible. Her book reached national distribution throughout Barnes & Noble Booksellers, with over 1,000 copies sold. Mona's passion for helping single mothers prompted her desire to develop programs that help build future nurses, particularly single mothers from underserved communities.

In 2014, she began the outreach campaign #future100K, aiming to recruit 100,000 single mothers to the profession of nursing. The campaign has expanded beyond passionate students and single mothers living in the U.S. to include students in Africa, Asia, and most recently the Philippines. 

Nurse Mona’s professional achievements in building the nursing community include:  

Nurse of the Year for Los Angeles County Healthcare System,  Mayor's Recognition Award, Mayor's Commendation Recognition Award, National "Super Phoenix"  for University of Phoenix, Finalist for the Health Care Leadership Award by the "Los Angeles Business Journal,” Distinguished Alumni Award for University of Phoenix Southern California (Selected from 92,000 alumni) in 2017, Leadership Impact Award, the (Top 3) alumni from University of Phoenix Southern California in 2018, 2019 LOVE Inspiration of the Year Award

Mona enjoys traveling, shopping, biking on the beach, fine dining and making people laugh!

Eboni Pace, BS, MA

 On board as Vice President and Secretary, Eboni Pace, BS, MA, exhibits over 10 years of a well-developed skill set for marketing, research, and global expansion. 

Ms. Pace is a graduate of Pratt University in New York earning a Masters degree in Dance Movement Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development from California State University Long Beach. 

A native California resident, Ms. Pace lives and works as an Executive Assistant based out of the East Coast. 

Eboni enjoys international travel excursions, cooking, theatre and dancing!

Melody Harvey, RN

Melody Harvey is an Assistant Nurse Manager at LAC-USC Medical Center and serves as Treasurer and Advisor for The Nurses Pub. She has over 30 years of experience in high-risk obstetrics and leadership and a vast knowledge of budget applications and hiring practices.

 Melody started her nursing career as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, during which she assisted patients and their families during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. She also provided labor support and education to enhance the birthing experience. 

Melody also served as a mentor and preceptor to new nurses. Since 2002, she has been the Assistant Nurse Manager for Labor and Delivery. As Assistant Nurse Manager, Melody wears many hats; her main focus is on facilitating favorable outcomes. She uses her amiable personality to communicate, collaborate, and coordinate the delivery of safe patient care. 

Melody attended the Los Angeles County School of Nursing in 1987, received her nursing license in 1989, and earned certification in Inpatient Obstetrics in 1991. 

Melody was a recipient of the Department of Health Services, Nurse Merit Award, due to her clinical excellence and commitment to her patients. 

She is a member of AWHON and National Nurses United. 

Melody enjoys traveling, music, boating, and spending time with her family.
