Winner of the BMA’s Latin Soul Artist Award 2021 is headlining at the Nurses Pub Gala!
Bringing up the heat and performing live for the 2nd Annual Nurses Pub Fundraising Gala is none other than the Internationally acclaimed musical artist, Paris Escovedo and The Paris Escovedo Band. Oakland, California native Paris Escovedo has emerged to bring Latin and Funk back to the world of jazz. Paris has played the Timbales since he was a child. His first set was a gift from the great Tito Puente. He is a highly acclaimed musician in high demand.
Born with talent running through his veins, Paris Escovedo comes from a musical talented family. His father and his uncle Pete Escovedo played with Santana among other legendary artists and his cousin Shiela E is also no stranger to the entertainment music world.
His trail blazing musical accomplishments range from performances with Grammy-Award-winning artists such as Bobby Brown, Lauryn Hill, David Cochrane, Silk, Speech, Angie Stone, Collective Soul, Pink, Shaun Mullins, Arrested Development. Paris is the son of the late legendary percussionist Thomas “Coke” Escovedo from the band Azteca & Santana, who was a visionary responsible for ushering in Latin artists to the San Francisco Bay Area music Scene; artists such as, Tito Puente, Tito Rodriguez, and Celia Cruz to name a few.

Jordan Busa is an award winning violinist who has been playing the violin since age five and was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at age eleven. He has been Concertmaster
of the Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles. He has performed at the Walt Disney Concert Hall as a featured performer with the Inner City Youth Orchestra.
Jordan has also performed at the unveiling of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial in Washington, D.C., the NAACP National Convention and a fundraiser honoring first lady
Michelle Obama. His motto is, "There is geometry in the humming of the strings, there is music in the spacing of the spheres."
Vaughh Fahie (pronounced Foy) devotes his time, energy and talents to providing a pleasurable musical experience delivering eloquent sounds for top-notch events as an ambient jazz saxophone soloist or accompanied by his accomplished band.
Beginning his music career at age 8,
Vaughn played songs by ear on the accordion and keyboard while also arranging his own music. Throughout high school, he perfected his piano skills and was then introduced to the clarinet and alto saxophone. He also played frequently the Hammon B3 organ as a teen in his church.
Vaughn graduated from Riverside Community College with an Associates Degree in Mathematics. Following RCC, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Business from Cal Poly Pomona University. Vaughn routinely participated in campus activities with the marching band drumline as the bass line captain at RCC and also worked at the Cal Poly Pomona Student Union.
With more than twelve years of event planning experience, Vaughn posses a keen sensitivity to how music should compliment and assist in the success of any event.
Vaughn currently resides in Southern California with his beautiful wife RaShawna and their talented son Jordan Douglas, He is actively involved in the church music ministry showcasing his gifts as a producer, engineer and musician.
Get ready to LOL with Donna Maine, comedian and former registered nurse.
Donna Maine is an LA-based clean, corporate comedian and comedy writer who performs across the country. Her comedic insights, sarcasm, and wit run the gamut; including relationships, kids, medical background, and coping with middle-age in a post-millennial world. Donna performs at all the major comedy clubs, casinos, and all types of corporate and private events.
Past performances include comedy festivals, music festivals, women's professional groups, couples' retreats, and special occasion roasts, where Donna has written and performed custom material and parody songs.
A former RN who spent time in a variety of areas from cardiac step-down and home health visits to the glamorous world of GI procedures, she draws on all of that human experience as well. Donna is a Funniest Housewives Finalist, a voice over actor, and also a comedy show producer.

To ensure the safety of ALL gala attendees, The Nurses Pub is requiring that all guests take a Covid-19 Antigen test 1- 3 days BEFORE traveling to the gala.
ALL guests MUST present a negative test result for Covid-19 BEFORE entering the event ballroom. There will be no exceptions. If you have received the Covid-19 vaccination, you will still be required to provide proof of a negative
Covid-19 Antigen test.
I acknowledge that COVID-19 is an extremely contagious virus that spreads easily through person-to-person contact and can lead to severe illness and death. As with any social activity, participation in the 2021 Nurses Pub Fundraising gala could present the risk of contracting COVID-19. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. The Nurses Pub can in no way warrant that COVID-19 infection will not occur through participation in the gala and by attending you voluntarily assume all risks related to COVID-19 exposure; agree to abide by the then-current gala COVID-19 Code of Conduct issued by The Nurses Pub; and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Nurses Pub and all of its conference vendors/contractors from any and all
COVID-19 liabilities or claims.
